Dr. Georgia Christopoulou is the Lab Director and Head of Genetics and Genomics of Genotypos Science Labs, since 2018.
She supervises personnel and lab operations, interprets genetic/genomic results and participates in corporate strategy and development. She studied Biology at the University of Patras, holds a Master’s degree in Clinical and Laboratory Genetics (School of Health Science, Department of Medicine, NKUA) and is awarded a PhD degree in Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (School of Health Science, Department of Medicine, University of Ioannina).
Dr. Christopoulou has over 20 years of experience in clinical genetic laboratories, in the fields of inherited diseases, prenatal and postnatal testing, oncogenetics/oncogenomics, and molecular microbiology. She has published over 15 peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals in the above fields, has been an invited speaker on topics of her expertise at congresses, and an invited lecturer on genetic diagnosis at DUTH and UOI, Greece.
