NGS Laboratory Scientist
About the Role
We are seeking a Biologist or Life Sciences Technologist to strengthen the Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) team.
The position involves active participation in the daily laboratory workflow, primarily focusing on the execution and support of NGS protocols within a diagnostic setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Execution of NGS workflows (library preparation, quantification, normalization)
- DNA/RNA quality and quantity control
- Setup and operation of sequencing runs on Illumina platforms
- Monitoring and troubleshooting sequencing runs
- Proper laboratory documentation in accordance with quality standards
- Collaboration with the scientific team to ensure smooth sample and workflow management
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Life Sciences
- Proven experience in NGS library preparation
- Experience with Illumina platforms
- Understanding of basic molecular diagnostics principles
- High level of responsibility, accuracy and quality orientation
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in life sciences, biology, or healthcare
- Experience in DNA/RNA extraction from FFPE tissues and liquid biopsy samples
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
- Experience in a diagnostic laboratory environment
