New test is available!

Last update: 04-09-2024

We would like to inform you that a new test is available!

Test Name: IDH1/2 mutation detection

Test ID: 8526

Method analysis: PCR-RFLP

Mutations in the IDH1 and IDH2 genes are reported in 15% - 20% of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cases, with IDH1 R132 and IDH2 R140 and R172 being the most clinically significant.

Accepted sample for analysis: peripheral blood or bone marrow sample in EDTA vial (4 oC)

TAT: 5 days

The test detects all mutations at codon R132 in the IDH1 gene and at codons R140 & R172 in the IDH2 gene.

New HER2 Test

Last update: 04-09-2024

We are proud to announce that a new PCR test is available for the detection of mutations in the HER2 gene (test ID#8911).

Patients with NSCLC and HER2 exon 20 insertions respond to trastuzumab (Herceptin) and dual-acting (EGFR/HER2) TKIs such as lapatinib, neratinib, and afatinib, while these mutations also render them resistant to first-generation TKIs (erlotinib and gefitinib).

At Genotypos labs we apply a commercially available panel (AmoyDx) that qualitatively detects targeted mutations in exons 19 and 20 of the HER2 gene, specifically: A775_G776insYVMA (2 variants), M774_A775insAYVM, G776>VC (2 variants), G776R, G776C, P780_Y781insGSP (4 variants), V777L, and L744P.

Accepted sample: FFPE

TAT: 5 days
